My husband & I celebrated our “25th wedding anniversary” this weekend!  It’s hard to believe we’ve been married that long!  On one hand, it doesn’t feel like it’s been 25  years & on the other hand, it’s like we’ve always been together.   Fred actually took me on my “First Date” when I turned 16!  We went to Spaghetti Factory in Indianapolis.  And then he planned a surprise party for me after dinner.  He has always been thoughtful that way!  I’m so blessed & grateful to be married to such a wonderful man!

So this year we decided to stay the weekend in Indianapolis and visit some local places.  We stayed at the Conrad, and it was beautiful!

The light fixture in the lobby of the Conrad, it was really stunning!

 Our room was gorgeous!

And so was the view!

Since 25 is the “Silver Anniversary”, we got new wedding rings for each other!

(Back in the 80’s,  gold was in style along with big hair!)

We visited the IMA on Saturday.   The weather was wonderful!

I’d heard that you can get a nice view of the city from a spot in Crown Hill Cemetery, so after our visit at the IMA we headed over there to check it out.

I think they were right!

We also saw this beautiful Gothic Chapel!

We have lived all over the United States in our 25 years together.  But it was in Indianapolis that I met & married my best friend!
